Dinner!

So I was talking with my mother-in-law tonight and I realized my block on why I never think of fun an interesting things to write on my blog. I don't have kids or crazy trips that I take. So I decided that since I have this wonderful cookbook full of new recipes so I am going to share some of my cooking experiments and attempts on this blog. Why not, right?

So tonight I thought of this blog cooking idea halfway through making dinner and I didn't have a new recipe to try so I made up my own.

The Menu:
Bow tie Pasta (courtesy of Betty)
with Meat Sauce (inspired by the way my mom throws her together)
a mix of tomato sauce and tomato puree (no tomato chunks please) and whatever is in the front of my spice cabinet
and Buttery Crescent Rolls (thanks to Pillsbury)

Mine was topped with Parmesan and Charlie's went without "Parmis-on-it"

The night was perfect and topped off with orange roses from my husband who stopped by the store to pick up milk for me.

YUM!

Does the Rooster Know?

Losing an hour is just mean. And I was finally recovering and getting used to my new routine. Being married, newly graduated, and new career. The balance is a delicate one.
Charlie and I both on Sunday and Monday were so tired we felt like we were going to fall over. It threw Charlie into a cold and the Rooster is now crowing in the middle of the day.
Now of course the Rooster shouldn't know the time changed but then how should we explain his 5:30pm crowing?

Parallel Days

What a fun weekend! Charlie and I hopped over the Gwinnett to spend some time with my brother, Jason and his girlfriend Lauren. Lauren and I went one way while Charlie and Jason went another. We all met for dinner before heading to a Gwinnett Gladiators Game at the Arena. This is where we found out that we, although being apart, had parallel days. Lauren and I started our day wondering around the mall with things to buy but nothing purchased... Jason and Charlie drove all over town looking for a remote control airplane or car or something. We talked about all the same stories and although Lauren and I did not follow through we considered buying silly string to spring on the guys. The guys on the other hand DID buy silly string and unloaded them on us after dinner. Lauren got a new shirt out of the deal because Jason did not keep the proper distance while spraying.

The Gladiators were very different to watch in comparison to the Thrashers. They are younger and not as experienced. they were all over the place and making crazy plays that didn't make sense (even to us new hockey fans) it was still fun to be there... Lauren is an excellent "Chicken Dancer".

Thanks for a fun filled day!
