Bye Thomas Road House

Last weekend Charlie and I made the trip the Dallas, GA to finish gathering all of his tools and the remainder of our belongings from our house there... As we left after EVERYTHING was packed up I stood on the porch and Charlie asked me what I was thinking... My answer was that I was thinking how glad I was for our "four month move" to be over and how I was kind of surprised to not be sad to leave this time (the last time). I had already said my goodbyes a long time ago.. I think to the moving day coming home from my last day at the Law office and seeing the big truck with all of our things in it and falling apart. going inside and seeing a half empty house in complete disarray... I luckily had the hugs of Elizabeth to help me through...

Anyways so as we left this time I wanted to grab a few pictures of the house as we left...

The house from the front - actually this is the back but we used it as the front

The driveway with fall all around it

I love this tree it is so beautiful... It hangs so close to the house and right over the theater. On stormy nights watching a movie I just KNEW it would come crashing through the roof! I'm glad it didn't... such a pretty tree.

My orchard! the pear tree is in front, the apples behind it and the blueberry bushes in the middle of the apples and up the hill... I didn't get any pears(I couldn't figure out when to pick them... I have blue berries and apples in my freezer. The blueberries were by far my favorite! They were like candy right off the bush! I am going to try to start my own blueberry bushes but have not figured out how to do that yet.

BYE HOUSE!!! Thank you for a great place to start my life with Charlie.. Warm and cozy and full of love!

Maggie,
I loved this blog post about your first newlywed home-- it is so sweet and sentimental.
